1. Scope
This policy applies to the LongScreen iPhone / iPad app, its recording and Safari extensions, and this support website, provided by QIANLI ZHAN. App data processing is described separately from website visits and information you choose to send to support.
2. Data processing in the app
LongScreen does not require an account. Selected screenshots, videos, web captures and stitched results are processed on your device. The app does not upload your media, page content, page titles, full URLs or usage history to developer servers. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs, and does not sell personal data.
Language preferences, capture status, timing information, error messages and necessary processing diagnostics are stored in the app or its local shared container so the app and its extensions can work.
3. Permissions and their purposes
- Photo and file import: the app processes only items you select through system pickers. It does not request access to read your entire photo library. The system may download selected originals from iCloud or a file provider.
- Saving to Photos: the app requests add-only photo access to save your result. You can decline this permission and use the system share sheet to save to Files instead.
- Screen recording: you explicitly start recording in the system broadcast panel. LongScreen saves video frames only, without app sound or microphone audio.
- Notifications: with your permission, notifications report task events such as recording completion. You can manage permission in system settings.
- Safari extension: after you allow access to the current website and start a capture, the extension reads page images, the title and the full URL. These and task details are saved locally to make a long image. URLs can themselves contain search terms or other sensitive parameters.
4. Retention and deletion
Original recordings, web capture segments, page titles, full URLs and task records are stored locally so you can regenerate or inspect a result. You can delete completed tasks from capture history. Active tasks are protected while they are running.
Clearing the current project does not delete capture history, original photos or previously exported copies. Manage copies in Photos, Files or other apps at their saved location. The current image and seam edits are not guaranteed to survive an app restart; export results you want to keep.
Temporary export files older than seven days are cleaned up during a later export. This is not an automatic deletion exactly at the seven-day mark. Device backups and system storage management are controlled by your system settings.
6. When you contact support
If you send a support email, the developer receives the email address, message and attachments you choose to provide, for responding, investigating the issue and handling your request. Support email is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the developer’s Gmail inbox, so message content and email headers are processed by Cloudflare and Google email services. Send only information needed for troubleshooting, and remove names, account details, private conversations and other sensitive content from screenshots or examples first.
Support correspondence is kept while handling your request and necessary follow-up. You can contact the address below to ask about or request deletion of information you provided. The developer cannot remotely access or delete media stored only on your device.
7. This website
This is a static support and policy website. It has no accounts, submission forms, advertisements or third-party analytics scripts. Cloudflare hosts the website and may process request information such as IP address, request time and browser details to deliver pages and protect network security. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for its processing practices.
